Soozie Kinstler is a princess of yoga and ambassador, she is much more than “just a yoga teacher.” To put it simply – Soozie changed my life. When I met her, I had just come home from a tour in Afghanistan, and I was morally and spiritually bankrupt. Suffering from PTSD an advisor suggested I try yoga as a way to relax and calm my mind. I knew nothing about yoga, its origins in India, the philosophy, and practices.
I found the closest yoga studio to my apartment in Washington, D.C., and that is where I met the divine Ms. Kinstler, who would become not only my yoga teacher but my spiritual guide to a new path for my life. Soozie took me by the hand and walked me from a total beginner to “Student of the Month” at our studio. She taught me the asanas (postures), of course, but so much more than that, she taught me the spiritual side of yoga. She teaches the history and philosophy of yoga (e.g., The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali) and how to internalize and make yoga part of who we are. She did this for me, and it opened a new trajectory for my life. Yoga is part of who I am today – it can’t be separated out. Everything I do is with devotion and mindfulness and a set of core yoga principles I learned from Soozie. I am truly living out my dreams, and so can you. Wherever you are in your life, Soozie can meet you there and take you on a journey to a magical existence. Trust me – she did for me. Much love to you Soozie!

I love to experience Soozie’s vibe. I really enjoy when she giggles at herself and brings her experiences from classes she has taken to share with us (the students).
